Guide to setting up successful programs

Increasing international student mobility is a priority for Canadian universities. Setting up North-South mobility programs is an excellent way to do this. But how do you get these programs to be a success? Universities Canada has just published a handy guide for mobility program administrators, faculty and students. Based on issue briefs written by two experts in this area, Dr. Rebecca Tiessen and Dr. Kate Grantham, the booklet addresses a number of issues:

  • Ethical considerations for North-South mobility programs
  • How to encourage student participation and overcome funding barriers
  • Strategies to address challenges in measuring and evaluating university
    mobility programs
  • How to encourage faculty participation in North-South mobility programs
  • Important considerations and innovative practices for North-South
    institutional partnerships
