Digital Marketing Specialist

(Three-year term position)

We are currently recruiting a Digital Marketing Specialist to oversee the relaunch of the UniversityStudy.ca website as well as manage the digital tracking analytics for all Universities Canada’s website properties. Responsibilities include developing and executing effective digital marketing strategies to drive online traffic, increase brand visibility and build the online audience.

Education and experience

  • A college diploma or an undergraduate degree in computer science, website development or digital communications in graphic design.
  • Two years of relevant experience.
  • Prior experience in website design, digital advertising and conversion tracking.
  • Prior experience working with GoogleAnalytics4.  

Knowledge and abilities

  • In-depth knowledge of SEO best practices and search engine algorithms.
  • Proficiency in WordPress development and customization.
  • Knowledge of web accessibility and web standards (WCAG, W3C).
  • Strong layout skills across a range of media and software.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to drive decision-making. 
  • Bilingualism a definite asset.
  • Excellent organizational skills.

The position is based in Ottawa. Universities Canada has adopted a hybrid work model where employees are expected to work in the office a minimum of two days per week. 

The hiring salary range for this position is from $63,707 to $75,633 depending on experience. Candidates who do not meet all of the position requirements may be considered in an underfill capacity, in which case the candidate would be hired at a lower level than the position level.
