We are currently recruiting a translator/translation service coordinator to be responsible for coordinating translation, revision and proofreading requests from Universities Canada’s employees and providing administrative support to the translation team. Responsibilities include tasks related to translation, from English to French, such as researching terminology and translating, revising and correcting texts.

Education and experience
- Undergraduate degree in translation from English to French or prior equivalent experience
- Three years prior experience in a field related to translation
Knowledge and abilities
- Superior knowledge of the French and English language
- Very good knowledge of computer software, in particular Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with computer-assisted translation tools such as MemoQ
- Strong ability to interact with employees and freelance translators and work as part of a team
- Attention to detail, initiative, organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to establish priorities
The position is based in Ottawa. Universities Canada has adopted a hybrid work model where employees are expected to work in the office a minimum of two days per week.
The hiring salary range for this position is from $55,965 to $65,584 depending on experience. Candidates who do not meet all of the position requirements may be considered in an underfill capacity, in which case the candidate would be hired at a lower level than the position level.
