Program Support Officer

(term position until July 2026)

We are currently recruiting a program support officer to be responsible for a range of activities to support the design and implementation of the Global Excellence Initiative and Scholarship Partners Canada programs. The incumbent plays a key role in project and selection committee coordination and recruitment, customer service, information processing, database management and administration of the programs.

Education and experience

  • A college diploma, preferably in social sciences or business-related discipline.
  • Two years of relevant experience.
  • Prior experience in processing a large volume of files.

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of Canadian education institutions and programs.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and databases.

Abilities/Qualities

  • Excellent oral and strong written communication skills in both official languages.
  • Strong administrative, organizational and reporting skills.
  • Good capacity to liaise and manage multiple external clients.
  • Ability to work under pressure while balancing competing priorities.
  • High degree of discretion and insight.

The position is based in Ottawa. Universities Canada has adopted a hybrid work model where employees are expected to work in the office a minimum of two days per week. 

The hiring salary range for this position is from $55,965 to $65,584 depending on experience. Candidates who do not meet all of the position requirements may be considered in an underfill capacity, in which case the candidate would be hired at a lower level than the position level.
