We are currently recruiting a Multimedia Designer to develop creative, high quality visual content to support Universities Canada`s internal and external communication efforts. As a member of the communications team, they ensure brand consistency on all publishing platforms, adapt designs for various social media platforms and optimize content for mobile viewing,
Education and experience
- A college diploma in graphic design.
- Two years of relevant experience.
- Prior experience in website design and development.
Knowledge and abilities
- Ability to translate client needs into original creative design concepts.
- Strong layout skills across a range of media and software.
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and video and sound capture software
- Strong understanding of responsive and application design and social media applications.
- Excellent creative and visual communications skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
The position is based in Ottawa. Universities Canada has adopted a hybrid work model where employees are expected to work in the office a minimum of two days per week.
The hiring salary range for this position is from $55,965 to $65,584 depending on experience. Candidates who do not meet all of the position requirements may be considered in an underfill capacity, in which case the candidate would be hired at a lower level than the position level.
